Context Tab System
A persistent tab-based navigation system with an attached context indicator that reflects the user’s current location without introducing full breadcrumb complexity.
What is it
It’s a hybrid of:
- Tabs (primary navigation) → Recent / Categories
- Context indicator → UCP / Messages / Motoring
But:
- not clickable
- not hierarchical
- not growing
SmartTheme introduces a Context Tab System, where a third non-interactive tab dynamically reflects the user’s current location (e.g. UCP, Messages, or Forum), keeping navigation relevant across all pages without relying on traditional breadcrumbs.
